Almaz, the Arabic name for diamonds, are known not only for their sublime beauty, but also for their timelessness as they withstand millions of years of immense pressure to form. Created by perfumer Rania Jouaneh, renowned for her exquisitely powerful and sensual perfume creations, Almaz opens with a beguiling fruity combination of bergamot and blackcurrant, a delightful mixture of fresh sweetness with a spicy edge. The heart notes consist of an elegant blend of raspberry, flower notes and heliotrope. In the base, we find a delicious fusion of musk, wood notes, vanilla, amber and brown sugar, a mellow yet sensual composition consisting of a rich and pure earthy softness.

Jihan is…sacrifice. Jihan, the Arabic name given to the beautiful crocus flower, is symbolic of cheer fulness, joy, youthfulness, and glee. The flower appears at the first sign of spring. The Jihan flower can be found in white, purple, and yellow. The purple Jihan is the most prized, and it reflects pride, dignity, and success.

But it is the sacrificial aspect of Jihan that has captivated people for centuries: giving up something beautiful and valued for the sake of something else.  The Jihan flower is sacrificed to give the famous threads that are used worldwide in cooking: saffron, one of the most expensive spices of the world
