Gladiator Oud

Description

Warm and spicy, Gladiator oud opens with a thrilling clash between leathery saffron and dry cumin, hinting at the picture of a gladiator as a warrior at the peak of their physical fitness, clad in armour and ready for battle. Cardamom and the cool of Egyptian geranium combine to hint at steel and strength, as a vein of sweet honey brings light to the composition and tempers the drier elements. Hay and immortelle absolutes create a picture of the sun-baked soil of the gladiatorial arena, whilst a dry and piquant base of oud, patchouli, cedar and vetiver celebrate the riches of strength over adversity. Wafts of salty ambergris bring a cool breeze to the final phase of the scent, as we imagine perspiration cooling on the brow of our champion.
